Display technology
OLED stands for “organic light emitting diode” and refers to a technology for displays such as those used in smartphones and tablets.
Compared to liquid crystal displays (LCD), OLED displays are particularly high-contrast and consume less energy. On the other hand, they have a shorter service life and lower luminous efficacy.
