Goldbeck builds on sustainability

Goldbeck implemented a scalable, international device-as-a-service solution for over 7,000 iOS devices with Everphone. The collaboration relieves the burden on IT, supports sustainable processes and enables self-service for users throughout Europe.

Field of action

Resource efficiency has been part of Goldbeck's DNA since the company was founded. The company plans integrally and with foresight, builds with significantly less material and emissions thanks to systematized construction methods, and ensures efficient and user-friendly operation.

From the outset, Goldbeck also considers the possible dismantling and recycling potential of its products. But that's not all: Goldbeck has set itself ambitious ESG goals at project, product and company level — including the continuous decarbonization of its own economic activities.

Self-service for 7,000 iPhones and iPads

Goldbeck chose Everphone to implement a sustainable, scalable solution for the use of mobile devices in several European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary).

With a high degree of automation of the staging, roll-out and delivery processes, international standards are created and the IT departments are noticeably relieved. Around 6,000 iPhones and 1,000 iPads are in operation. The iPads are equipped with robust rugged protective covers to prepare them for use in harsh conditions on construction sites.

Portal instead of IT tickets

A central service element is the Everphone portal for admins. Devices can be managed, replaced, and returned as required via this portal — self-service processes replace traditional support requests.

Seamless device availability close to users is ensured by 2-3 regional depots for the local provision of replacement devices. If an iPhone/iPad does break, it can be replaced with a depot device in minutes. Billing is country-specific, which means that budget responsibility is organized decentrally.
