FAQ

What’s the difference between Device as a Service (DaaS) and Workplace as a Service (WaaS)?

In short: for us, there’s hardly any difference. At Everphone, DaaS usually refers to mobile devices like smartphones or tablets, while WaaS means workplace devices like laptops, PCs, mini-PCs, or workstations.

But in practice, the principles are exactly the same:
🔁 Devices are rented instead of bought
🛠️ Repairs and replacements are included
🧾 Fixed monthly rates (OPEX model)
📦 We handle provisioning, management, and returns end to end

Our SLAs are identical—whether you’re renting a MacBook or an iPhone.

Technically, there can be some differences depending on the type of device:

  • Smartphones and tablets are typically integrated via MDM systems like Microsoft Intune—often combined with Apple Business Manager or Android Zero Touch.
  • PCs and laptops are often onboarded via Windows Autopilot or other endpoint management solutions.

But you don’t need to worry about the details—we’ll handle everything for you. Whether it’s DaaS or WaaS.
