Company phone
Company-owned cell phone
A company cell phone is, in the broadest sense, a cell phone (feature phone or smartphone) that is procured by a company and made available to employees either for purely business use or for a mixed use of private and business.
The characteristic feature is that the mobile device remains the property of the issuing company during the period of use and thereafter, unless the company decides to rent the mobile device. Company cell phones touch on far-reaching questions of employment law, data protection regulations and security/compliance.
