Connectivity

Interface equipment of a terminal device

Connectivity refers to the equipment of hardware interfaces in smartphones and tablets. More generally, the term refers to interfaces between physical systems in electrical engineering.

Hardware interfaces are based on industry standards that ensure that electronic components from different manufacturers work together, for example a router and a WLAN module in a mobile device.

Typical interfaces in smartphones/tablets

The following hardware interfaces are commonly found in mobile devices:
