# Everphone — Full Content Summary > Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) for smartphones, tablets, and laptops — fully managed procurement, MDM, support, repair, and circular lifecycle for enterprise IT. This file summarizes the public pages of everphone.com, one factual paragraph per page, in English. Every figure and name below is taken from the page it is listed under; where pages differ, the page itself is authoritative. The shorter link index is [llms.txt](/llms.txt). Frequently-changing, high-volume content (blog articles, magazine articles, glossary entries, FAQ answers, press releases) is not summarized here — see the hub pages below. ## Company Everphone GmbH is headquartered at Zimmerstraße 79–80, 10117 Berlin, Germany, and has an office in Munich (Benediktbeuerer Str. 16, 81379 München). Its US entity, Everphone, Inc., is based at 5201 Blue Lagoon Drive, Suite 900, Miami, Florida 33126. Everphone was founded by Jan Dzulko, who is CEO, and employs 180 people in Berlin, Munich and Miami. The website names ISO 27001 certification, Android Enterprise Gold Partner status, membership of the UN Global Compact since 2021, and an ecovadis silver medal received consistently since 2023, placing its sustainability management among the top 15% of companies assessed. It covers the whole device lifecycle: procurement, integration and staging, delivery to the end user, and return, data deletion and refurbishment. Rental devices are connected to the customer's MDM and ITSM stack, with a full audit trail and CO2 documentation, and the page names GDPR and NIS compliance. Three add-on services — Managed Services for MDM, Mobile Threat Defense and Choose Your Own Device — are available without a DaaS subscription, and "buy and rent back" (BARB) moves an existing fleet into DaaS. The page states ">2h" of IT capacity saved per device and year, "30d" fleet modernization, that companies with up to 250 employees order directly in the shop while larger companies get a personal consultation, and "Trusted by 1,000+ companies"; customer logos include Henkel, Messe Berlin, OBI, Forvis Mazars, Stadtwerke Dinslaken, Goldbeck and Köln Bonn Airport. ### [Device as a Service](/en/device-as-a-service) Companies rent smartphones, tablets and laptops from Everphone with maintenance, replacement and support included, orchestrated through an API-first platform. The process has five steps: API integration with HR, IT and procurement systems; ordering via the portal, a list upload or an ITSM system; staging with MDM enrollment, apps, access rights and security profiles; direct shipping to employees with a return label for old devices; and pickup of old devices, which are reset, inspected, securely wiped and refurbished. Customers pay a monthly rental rate that includes all DaaS services, and rentals can end when employees leave. Listed features include unlimited replacements, decreasing rental rates, early returns, certified data deletion, carbon-footprint reporting, and private use through MDM data separation. The page says the model has been refined "since 2018", pays off for organizations of every size (up to 250 employees order directly in the Everphone shop, larger companies get a short consultation), and offers devices from Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Google, Motorola, Fairphone, Lenovo, Dell and HP. ### [Workplace as a Service](/en/workplace-as-a-service) Workplace as a Service extends the rental model to laptops, PCs and accessories — notebooks, all-in-ones, desktop towers, small-form-factor and tiny PCs, workstations and convertibles — from Apple, Dell, HP and Lenovo. A monthly usage fee covers the hardware, repairs, replacements and management, under the same SLA as DaaS. Notebooks ship preconfigured, including Autopilot registration, staging and BIOS settings, free of charge to the office or a preferred address, and ITSM systems connect via API. A framework agreement sets standards across countries or entities, users request support or replacements through the Everphone portal at no extra cost, and returned devices are wiped with a deletion certificate and CO₂-savings documentation; the page states that 99% of the devices are refurbished and reused elsewhere. Existing mixed fleets can be migrated through buy and rent back. ### [Buy and Rent Back (BARB)](/en/buy-and-rent-back) With buy and rent back, Everphone buys a company's existing smartphones and tablets and rents them back fully serviced under a DaaS contract. The four steps are an assessment of the devices in use, an offer priced on model, quantity and residual value (devices are rated uniformly as "good", without individual grading), the sale, and an immediate rent-back. Employees keep their devices without interruption, and the sale frees tied-up capital. BARB devices receive the Everphone service level from the moment of sale, including free replacement of defective devices, and can be upgraded to a new model "after just one month". The page cites Cologne/Bonn Airport, which "equips around 500 employees with smartphones", as a customer that renewed its fleet this way. ### [Choose Your Own Device (CYOD)](/en/choose-your-own-device) With CYOD, employees choose their company phone or tablet from a curated selection presented in an online portal "like a webshop"; Everphone procures, configures and ships the device directly to the user. The company sets a fixed budget per device, and employees who want a more expensive model pay the difference — according to the page, "in many countries" from gross salary. Everphone provides a payment list for import into common payroll software. MDM allows private use, all phones offered are dual-SIM, defective devices are replaced at no extra charge, and users can switch to newer models. The page cites Cologne Bonn Airport, which equips "500 employees" this way. ### [Managed Services for MDM](/en/device-as-a-service/mobile-device-management-mdm) Everphone's MDM unit helps IT teams select, set up and run mobile device management software, whether or not they rent devices from Everphone. The offer consists of "five combinable modules": MDM administration, MDM consulting on compliance and performance, remote MDM training, license management, and MDM add-ons such as Mobile Threat Defense. The page presents MDM as the way to separate business and private data so company phones can be used privately (COPE), and points organizations without an MDM to technology partner Ivanti; Everphone is an Android Enterprise Gold Partner. A success story from Stadtwerke Dinslaken cites "145 min" annual IT effort per device and "92%" user satisfaction. ### [Mobile Threat Defense](/en/device-as-a-service/mobile-threat-defense) Everphone offers Mobile Threat Defense for devices rented under DaaS and for a company's other mobile devices. With partner Check Point, Everphone provides "Mobile Security" licenses and supports deployment, tenant creation and management, policy definition, SIEM integration, remote lock and wipe, and user and admin support. The page says the solution can be deployed across fleets of "thousands of devices" within minutes and takes data-protection requirements (GDPR, NIS-2) and works-council requirements into account. It argues that MDM alone is not sufficient protection and lists ten attack vectors, from phishing to operating-system vulnerabilities. As a case study, the page features Stadtwerke Dinslaken, a supplier of electricity, gas, water and district heating and part of Germany's critical infrastructure (KRITIS), where a Mobile Threat Defense solution was rolled out with Everphone on the utility's 400 phones. ### [Integration](/en/device-as-a-service/integration) Everphone connects its Device-as-a-Service to a customer's IT service management system through a REST API described as ITSM-agnostic: orders, extensions, upgrades and cancellations can flow into the customer's system without extra tools. Named ITSM products include ServiceNow, Datanet, Matrix42, USU, TOPdesk, Freshworks, BMC, Serviceware and OpenText (formerly Micro Focus). A ready-made interface exists for Datanet, which is used for billing data and telecom expense management. The Everphone portal shows admins rental devices, users, phone plans and contract durations, and lets employees report damage or upgrade devices. Full API documentation is available on request. ### [Sustainability](/en/device-as-a-service/sustainability) Everphone's model is to refurbish mobile devices and keep them in use as long as possible, recycling only devices beyond repair; in 2024 it "could give 99 percent of our smartphones and tablets a second life". According to the page, a refurbished, reused smartphone saves "58 kg CO₂" on average compared with a new one, and tablets save more than double that. The page argues that DaaS reduces the total number of devices because rental devices can be used for both work and private life. Everphone is part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation community, has been part of the UN Global Compact since 2021, and has consistently received an ecovadis silver medal since 2023, placing its sustainability management among the top 15% of companies assessed. A CSR report 2025, a sustainability flyer and a Company Carbon Footprint report 2025 (GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 and 3) are available for download. ### [Phone Plan Management B2B](/en/phone-plan-management-b2b) Everphone offers B2B mobile phone plan management that complements Device-as-a-Service but can also be booked on its own. It consists of six modules: needs assessment (minutes, international calls, data volume, contract durations), high-spender identification, cost-benefit analysis, network check, plan adjustments and new activations. Discounts and special conditions are passed on "1:1", and the page says Everphone uses its direct line to carriers such as Deutsche Telekom to secure business plans. Separating devices from plans replaces bundle deals; customers get a dedicated contact person, existing contracts are reviewed first, and switching carrier is not required. ### [Rent Company Phones](/en/rent-company-phones) A landing page offering a free, no-obligation consultation on renting company phones through Device-as-a-Service. Everphone takes on device procurement, mobile plan management, MDM setup, replacement of faulty devices, returns and GDPR compliance. Companies pay only for the devices in use, can adjust the rental at any time, and end it when an employee leaves; broken devices are replaced without downtime. MDM separates private and company data so devices can also be used privately. ## Solutions by Role ### [CIO](/en/solutions/roles/cio) For CIOs, Everphone offers a single Master Service Agreement for mobile devices company-wide: the DaaS framework agreement sets global standards for all target countries while allowing local portfolio requirements. All devices, "from premium smartphones to ruggedized tablets for forklift use", are provisioned through one platform, bringing office IT and operational technology together. A single API connects to the customer's ITSM system to automate procurement and operations for smartphones, tablets, laptops and accessories. Phone plan management, MDM and Mobile Threat Defense are optional, and customer service is available 365 days a year. ### [Procurement](/en/solutions/roles/procurement) For procurement teams, Everphone centralizes device sourcing on one platform, from hardware procurement to system integration. End users order and return smartphones, tablets or laptops in a few clicks. Monthly rental rates carry "no residual value risk and no renegotiation", a single price includes all break-and-fix processes, and billing can be split by cost center. The API integrates with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow to automate orders and rollouts, and Everphone handles incident management directly with users. ### [CFO](/en/solutions/roles/cfo) For CFOs, Everphone turns capital expenditure on devices into predictable monthly operating expenses, protecting liquidity and making hardware costs transparent; the page mentions potential tax benefits. With buy and rent back, Everphone buys the existing fleet and rents it back with full service and break-and-fix coverage. The monthly rental price covers procurement, service, returns, incident management, support and logistics, and processes integrate with IT systems via API. ### [Chief Human Resources Officer](/en/solutions/roles/chief-human-resources-officer) For HR leaders, Everphone equips employees with devices, speeds up onboarding and supports digital upskilling. With "Office-in-a-Bag", new employees receive laptop, smartphone, tablet and accessories before their first day. Everphone handles procurement, delivery, upgrades, damage replacement, returns and certified data deletion. Under Choose Your Own Device with co-payment, employees select their own device at no extra cost to the company; co-payments are processed in payroll, and Everphone connects to HR and IT systems via API. ### [Chief Operating Officer](/en/solutions/roles/chief-operating-officer) For COOs, Everphone focuses on minimizing device downtime: it "ships a replacement within two business days" for defective devices, with the cost included in the monthly rental price. Support is available 365 days a year from human staff, requested through the Everphone self-service portal or via API from ITSM systems such as ServiceNow. Standardized project blueprints cover staging through delivery, upgrades, device retrieval at end of life and certified data deletion. ### [Workplace Leader](/en/solutions/roles/workplace-leader) For those responsible for digital workplaces, Everphone automates device procurement: it integrates via REST API with MDM and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, after which ordering, incidents and returns run automatically. The page cites ISO 27001 certification and support 365 days a year from people. Returned devices go through an end-of-life process in which data is wiped in line with GDPR, storage is overwritten multiple times, and the procedure is described as "BSI and NIST certified". ## Solutions by Strategy ### [Lifecycle Management](/en/solutions/strategies/lifecycle-management) A lifecycle management package for companies that buy their devices (CAPEX) and want to keep ownership — the page notes that industries such as oil and gas often prefer this. Everphone takes over recurring tasks such as incident management and asset tracking, with one workflow across all countries and consistent data wiping at end of life. The Everphone portal shows admins which devices are assigned to which users; an API can connect ITSM systems, and employees have self-service access. Services include staging, configuration, repairs and replacements, MDM administration, Mobile Threat Defense, and retrieval of end-of-life devices with automated data deletion and a certificate for the audit trail. ### [OPEX-Oriented Workplace](/en/solutions/strategies/opex-oriented-workplace) This page covers moving smartphones, tablets and laptops from CAPEX to OPEX through a fixed monthly rental fee that includes management, logistics and replacement devices. With buy and rent back, an entire fleet moves to DaaS at once while devices stay with the same users; the page states "Most of our customers rely on BARB". Customers pay only for devices in use, and the rental ends when an employee leaves and returns the device. A voluntary employee co-payment model (Choose Your Own Device) gives access to premium devices, and the page says it "is typically embraced by over half of all employees". ### [Global Workplace Automation](/en/solutions/strategies/global-workplace-automation) For international companies, Everphone automates workplace device processes through ITSM integration, with ServiceNow named as an example. DaaS for laptops, smartphones and tablets reduces operations to four core actions: new orders, replacements, returns, and asset and compliance information, with all costs — including replacement of defective devices — covered by the rental fee. An ITSM process blueprint is designed and tested in one local entity, optionally adding device categories or eSIM activation via the Everphone API, and then rolled out to further countries without additional integrations. ### [Frontline Digitization](/en/solutions/strategies/frontline-digitization) This page covers equipping frontline staff, from facility management and kitchen staff to healthcare workers, with company devices. Everphone says it has "rolled out devices to over 60,000 frontline users", with and without private use enabled. Project blueprints cover software, hardware, proof-of-concept phases and global rollouts. Service cases — device replacement, UEM, telecom and lifecycle management — are handled via self-service and included in the rental price; companies pay only for active devices, and Everphone collects the device when someone leaves. ### [Production Digitization](/en/solutions/strategies/production-digitization) Everphone supplies rugged, managed devices to manufacturing staff for real-time communication and data capture. It handles staging for single- and multi-user setups and delivers devices configured to company specifications and bundled with accessories (kitting); extra-durable and explosion-proof devices are available. Devices can be returned before the rental period ends, companies pay only for devices in use, and assets can be exchanged or upgraded at no extra cost. Device and user data reach an admin portal via API, which also connects to ITSM systems such as ServiceNow or Datanet. ### [Employee Experience Leadership](/en/solutions/strategies/employee-experience-leadership) This page covers offering employees high-end smartphones and laptops through DaaS, including private use, with an optional buyout for friends and family at the end of the rental. It states "Our data shows: 60% want high-end devices". With Choose Your Own Device, new joiners pick their device in a webshop-style interface before day one, with premium devices available via co-payment at no extra cost to the organization. MDM creates an encrypted workspace to separate business and personal data in line with GDPR, dual SIM supports two mobile plans, and employees replace, upgrade or return devices through the Everphone portal. ## Solutions by Industry ### [Automotive and Manufacturing](/en/solutions/industries/automotive-and-manufacturing) For automotive and manufacturing companies, DaaS replaces upfront device costs with predictable operating expenses; devices can be assigned or returned flexibly, and Choose Your Own Device is offered as an optional employee benefit. Everphone takes over the device lifecycle internationally and from a single source, from ordering to returns. First-level requests go directly to Everphone, users resolve incidents via self-service at no extra cost, and Everphone integrates with existing ITSM systems via API. ### [Transportation and Logistics](/en/solutions/industries/transportation-and-logistics) Everphone equips branch and field employees in transport and logistics with mobile devices, digitizes delivery processes and avoids downtime through fast device replacement. Giving every employee a device and a digital identity supports shift schedules, chat platforms and digital notice boards. Devices arrive preconfigured, GDPR-compliant and ready to use, and can be enabled for private use. The portfolio ranges from standard smartphones to premium devices and ruggedized, explosion-proof hardware; companies pay only for devices in use, and Everphone handles returns when employees leave. ### [Banking and Professional Services](/en/solutions/industries/banking-and-professional-services) Everphone's DaaS for banks and professional-services firms keeps devices compliant and traceable through automated processes and central control, which the page says simplifies audits. Private use is included from the start; employees choose their device and receive it fully configured at the office or at home, with self-service and short approval paths. Everphone takes over asset management for smartphones, tablets, laptops and accessories across the lifecycle, with processes running in existing ITSM systems via API. ### [Public Sector](/en/solutions/industries/public-sector) Everphone rents secure, managed mobile devices to public-sector institutions, including equipment for field employees. It automates procurement and incident management and can connect via API to ITSM solutions such as Datanet or ServiceNow. Service devices get an encrypted workspace in which only IT can release apps and configure settings. The page says Everphone supports INDIGO's 12-month cycles and offers Mobile Threat Defense in partnership with Check Point. Devices are paid for with a monthly fee that fits the annual budget, and with buy and rent back Everphone takes over the existing fleet. ### [Retail](/en/solutions/industries/retail) Everphone equips retail employees with mobile devices to support omnichannel operations such as customer service, product information, stock checks, reorders and shift planning. Smartphones, tablets and laptops are delivered preconfigured, either in multi-user setups or one device per employee. Unused devices can be returned when staff leave, replacements for defects are included in the rental fee, and devices can be configured for GDPR-compliant private use. The page features OBI as a reference. ### [Healthcare](/en/solutions/industries/healthcare) Everphone provides mobile devices and mobile security to healthcare institutions. Tasks are sent via API from ITSM systems such as ServiceNow or Datanet; Everphone handles procurement, configuration, replacement, upgrades, updates, returns and refurbishment, and existing fleets can be migrated with buy and rent back. For critical infrastructure (KRITIS), company and patient data sit in an MDM-encrypted container that IT can lock and wipe if a device is lost, and Mobile Threat Defense is offered with technology partner Check Point. Monthly rates include replacement of defective devices "without case review", requested by users through a web portal. ## Device Categories ### [Smartphones](/en/devices/smartphones) The smartphones available for rental include Apple iPhone 17 and iPhone 16; Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy A and Galaxy XCover; Google Pixel, Pixel Pro and Pixel Fold; Motorola Edge, Moto and ThinkPhone; Fairphone; and the explosion-proof Pepperl+Fuchs Smart-Ex 03 and Smart-Ex 203. It describes the digital gap between office staff and frontline colleagues in production, logistics and service, many of whom work without a device or on personal devices, and presents COPE (corporate-owned, personally-enabled) devices as a way to give every employee a secure company device. Free download; the PDF is sent by email. ### [Mobile Devices and HIPAA Compliance](/en/whitepapers/mobile-devices-hipaa) Covers the use of mobile devices by physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers and the risk of private health information falling into the wrong hands. It explains the two major risks for mobile devices in healthcare, what HIPAA regulates for mobile devices and how to make them HIPAA-compliant, and how device rental can support secure procurement in healthcare organizations. Free download by email. ### [Mobile Device Management (MDM)](/en/whitepapers/mobile-device-management) Summarizes the functions of an MDM solution — data protection, data security, compliance, separation of business and private data, remote access, asset management and software distribution. It explains how MDM works, how to keep work and private data separate, how many devices make MDM worthwhile, and how MDM software differs from a container app. Free download by email. ### [Company Phones as Benefits](/en/whitepapers/benefits) Looks at company smartphones as an employee benefit: why they have become an important work tool, especially for younger employees, and which mistakes to avoid when providing them. It covers internal communication, productivity, employer branding and the cost and effort of providing company phones, as well as sustainability and Everphone's approach of fewer devices in circulation, each used for longer. Free download by email. ### [Mobile Security](/en/whitepapers/mobile-security) Examines the threat landscape for company smartphones and tablets and how companies can protect them. Chapters cover background, legal requirements, threat landscape, security strategies and measures, and outlook. It discusses the risks of bring-your-own-device strategies, such as delayed operating-system updates and outdated devices, and considers more secure alternatives. Free download. ### [Mobile Device Sustainability Report](/en/whitepapers/mobile-device-sustainability-report) Evaluates the environmental and social impact of smartphones and tablets across raw material extraction, production, use, recycling and disposal, noting that 1.3 billion smartphones are produced every year. It explains refurbishing — reconditioning a device for further use cycles — and how refurbishing and a circular economy work together, gives recommendations for more sustainable device use, and describes Everphone's "reduce, reuse, refurbish" approach. Free download by email. ## Case Studies ### [Goldbeck](/en/case-studies/goldbeck) Goldbeck, with more than 100 locations in Europe and 12,500 employees, whose ESG goals include decarbonizing its own business, chose Everphone for a scalable mobile device solution across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Everphone implemented an international DaaS solution for over 7,000 iOS devices — around 6,000 iPhones and 1,000 iPads, the iPads in rugged covers for construction sites. Staging, rollout and delivery are highly automated; admins manage, replace and return devices in the Everphone portal, 2–3 regional depots supply replacement devices, and billing is country-specific. ### [Henkel](/en/case-studies/henkel) Henkel, a multinational chemical and consumer goods manufacturer, decided to integrate its whole workforce digitally, including non-desk workers, and planned to equip almost 6,000 of them with new iPads within five working days. The iPads were procured, integrated into the Henkel network, set up with the necessary apps and a Deutsche Telekom eSIM, and shipped ready to use to each recipient's chosen address — home or a Henkel site. Employees report damage through an online portal and receive an exchange device at no extra cost, and use the iPads for personnel matters, payroll apps, digital training and healthcare applications. ### [OBI](/en/case-studies/obi) OBI, a German DIY retailer, wanted store employees — who previously had only stationary computers and landline phones — to check product information and stock, place orders and contact suppliers from the sales floor, using preconfigured Samsung XCover 6 Pro devices with private use allowed. A pilot started in August 2023; within four weeks almost two thousand devices were shipped. In the second phase, from early 2024, an average of 780 devices per week were shipped until almost ten thousand devices were reached after about nine weeks. Everphone inserts the SIM cards, transmits device/SIM pairing data to Datanet via API for plan activation, adds screen protection, an OBI bumper and a lanyard, ships to each employee individually, and handles replacements. ### [Cologne Bonn Airport](/en/case-studies/cologne-bonn-airport) Cologne Bonn Airport equips around 500 employees with mobile devices. Buying devices had led to hard-to-calculate costs for repairs, replacements of worn or lost devices, and internal IT effort. Everphone took over the existing devices through buy and rent back, brought them into its managed service with full incident management, and employees kept using their phones without interruption; devices can be upgraded step by step, and data on replaced devices is deleted in a certified manner. Device handling and incident management are now done by Everphone, the airport's ICT department retains control of strategy, and employees choose from several smartphone models. ### [ADVANT Beiten](/en/case-studies/advant-beiten) ADVANT Beiten, a German commercial law firm that equips its staff with iPhones and iPads, previously bought devices from a distributor or in carrier bundles tied to restrictive contracts. It wanted reliable devices, strong data protection, more device choice and shorter procurement times. Everphone took over all existing devices through buy and rent back and gradually replaced them with newer models without interrupting work, with MDM software separating private and business data. A set of standard smartphone models speeds up onboarding, offboarding and replacement, and the in-house IT team is largely relieved of mobile device procurement, with Everphone as the central support contact. ### [Messe Berlin](/en/case-studies/messe-berlin) Messe Berlin, a state-owned trade fair company with 190,000 m² of exhibition grounds, 27 halls and 900 employees, wanted to outsource the administration of around 650 business smartphones, renew the fleet and add lifecycle management. As Telekom's partner, Everphone bought the existing devices; employees order a new iPhone and accessories through a personalized Telekom platform, choosing from three models depending on their authorization level. Defects are reported on the platform and replacements are sent without an approval workflow. Deployment uses Apple's Device Enrollment Program, Apple Business Manager and UEM, and returned devices are wiped to BSI and NIST standards with a deletion certificate. ### [IT.Niedersachsen](/en/case-studies/it-niedersachsen) IT.Niedersachsen supports ministries, the police and other authorities in Lower Saxony with digitization and mobile work. After almost two years of market exploration and a twelve-month tender, it chose Deutsche Telekom and its partner Everphone. The resulting "Fully Managed Workplace" lets its clients order work phones through a service portal, with orders forwarded automatically to Telekom. The service includes mobile device management, license management, app security and connectivity, a BSI-certified order management and billing tool, and BSI-certified data wiping, covering the full lifecycle from preconfiguration and direct shipping to replacement and refurbishment. The case study lists more than 12 locations, more than 1,000 employees, and up to 200,000 devices available on demand. ### [James Hardie](/en/case-studies/james-hardie) James Hardie Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of fibre cement manufacturer James Hardie Industries plc, equips consultants and sales staff who present to architects, planners, builders and homeowners on building sites and in stores. Staff at the Düsseldorf head office and field teams in a dozen European countries use iPhones and iPads that were previously bought outright. To save costs and relieve IT, James Hardie switched to Everphone's DaaS model; Everphone sources and stages the devices, ships them directly to employees, and handles repairs, replacements and asset management. ### [Stadtwerke Dinslaken](/en/case-studies/dinslaken-municipal-utilities) Stadtwerke Dinslaken, a municipal utility, wanted to reduce internal effort and improve the smartphone experience for employees; previously only about every second employee had a company device. In spring 2021, with the switch to Everphone's DaaS model, it offered all employees a company phone that may also be used privately. Everphone took over the existing devices through buy and rent back, so users kept their phones and could switch to a new model from the CYOD lineup after one month. MDM creates an encrypted business workspace for GDPR-compliant mixed use, all smartphones offered are dual-SIM, and returned devices are refurbished after certified data erasure. ### [City of Erkelenz](/en/case-studies/erkelenz-city) Erkelenz, the largest city in the Heinsberg region of North Rhine-Westphalia with approximately 46,000 inhabitants, needed to equip its administrative staff flexibly with smartphones and tablets; buying devices had proved costly and inflexible. It adopted Everphone's DaaS model with MDM provided by Everphone. Everphone acquired the existing devices through buy and rent back and rented them back with a service package while they stayed with their users. IT can now modernize the fleet step by step, and the administration decided to replace all its Android devices with Google Pixel smartphones. ### [Mazars Germany](/en/case-studies/mazars) Mazars, an international audit, tax, legal, accounting and advisory firm, has around 2,000 experts in Germany, in cities including Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Potsdam and Stuttgart. Equipping employees at its twelve locations had been complex for purchasing and IT, from ordering through IT system houses to checking invoices. Mazars asked Everphone to take over procurement and rollout of smartphones and tablets, aiming to reduce IT workload, widen device choice and maintain its security standards. With Choose Your Own Device, employees pick their device and pay any price difference above the company allowance. ### [Rehau](/en/case-studies/rehau-digitization-and-user-empowerment) Rehau, a maker of polymer-based solutions for construction, automotive and industry headquartered in Rehau, Bavaria, with more than 20,000 employees worldwide, faced a proliferation of device models, partly outdated hardware, high IT effort and little cost transparency. Everphone provides rental devices under a Choose Your Own Device model at no additional cost, including replacements, with Telekom SIM cards. The rollout started with 700 pilot devices in the first three months, grew to 1,500 and then reached all 3,500 devices. Rehau Industries and Rehau Automotive each have their own portal where users choose devices and report incidents; after the German rollout, Rehau plans to extend the model to markets such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia. ## Company and Resources ### [About Us](/en/about-us) The About Us page presents Everphone's team and mission ("We make mobile device service simple") and its CEO, Jan Dzulko. A circular economy section explains that Everphone refurbishes and reuses devices in its smartphone and tablet rental service, with a 24–36 month rental period, an optional 12-month extension, certified data erasure, reuse and recycling. Named partners are Samsung (Mobile Silver Business Partner), Android Enterprise (Gold Partner), Deutsche Telekom ("Telekom powered by Everphone"), Dell Technologies, Microsoft Surface (authorized reseller), Lenovo, HP (Business Partner) and Blancco (certified data erasure). ### [Career](/en/career) The career page describes Everphone's mission of changing how companies use corporate devices and lists five values: "Make mistakes and learn", "Output, not input", "No politics, no ego", "Radical candor" and "Extreme ownership".
