Tech bytes with Piyush: the Google Pixel 11 as a company phone

Google’s latest flagship is officially in the market, and opinion is split down the middle. Is the Pixel 11 an AI productivity powerhouse, or did Google cut some pixel enthusiast corners? Here is the fast breakdown from Piyush – Everphone’s Global Strategic Pricing Manager – strictly from a B2B point of view.

The Pixel 11 is here (see Google's blog post on the Pixel 11 launch). And, as usual, Google has packed plenty of AI into its latest phone.

But a good work phone needs to do more than have clever features. It needs solid battery life, reliable performance, good security, and a lifespan that makes sense.

So, is the Pixel 11 worth the upgrade? Let’s take a look.

    A cooler, more efficient Pixel

At the heart of the Pixel 11 is Google’s new Tensor G6 chip, built using TSMC’s 3nm process. Yes, there were early 2nm rumors, but they stayed rumors.

That technical detail matters for one simple reason: efficiency! Previous Pixels had a reputation for running warm and using more battery than you might expect. The Pixel 11 aims to improve both. It stays cooler under demanding workloads, opens apps faster, and should comfortably get through a busy workday. Not flashy. Just useful.

A battery built for the working day. The whole working day plus a half

Battery life can make or break a work phone. Nobody wants to hunt for a charger halfway through the afternoon.

The Pixel 11 combines a large battery with the more efficient Tensor G6 chip. The result is more than 30 hours of use, depending on how you use the phone.

There’s another important point for businesses: longevity. The battery is rated to retain 80% of its original capacity after 1,000 full charging cycles. An optional 80% charging limit can also help reduce battery wear over time. (Read more about giving your phone battery a longer lifespan here.)

And with Qi2 wireless charging, there’s less need to plug and unplug the phone throughout the day. Many office workers have a charging pod or mat of some sort on their desks, and the phone is conveniently placed on these, when returning from a meeting or an office pod.

Small details like these can make a difference when you’re managing devices for three years or longer.

Who is the Pixel 11 for?

The Pixel 11 isn’t trying to be the most powerful gaming phone on the market. And that’s fine. Its strengths are elsewhere.

For professionals, it offers AI tools designed to make everyday tasks easier. For people who love taking photos but don’t love adjusting camera settings, Google does most of the work for you.

And for anyone who simply wants a phone that feels smart without being complicated, there’s plenty to like.

AI that could actually save you time

AI features are everywhere right now. The question is: what can they actually do for you? On the Pixel 11, many AI tasks happen directly on the device. That can make them faster and means certain information doesn’t need to be sent to the cloud.

The phone can summarize calls, identify action points, translate conversations, and help you work through documents. That could be genuinely handy during a busy working day.

The camera does the hard work for you

Google has been using software to improve smartphone photography for years. The Pixel 11 continues that approach with tools such as Magic Editor, AI relighting, and Night Sight.

For most people, that’s great news.

You can take out your phone, press the shutter, and usually get a bright, balanced photo without thinking about the settings.

Photography enthusiasts may feel differently. Google’s processing can sometimes smooth textures or change the natural character of an image. So, is the camera good? Absolutely. Whether you like its style is a little more personal.

    What does it cost?

The Pixel 11 starts at $899 or €999 with 256 GB of storage. The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099. There’s no longer a cheaper 128 GB version.

That puts the Pixel 11 in familiar flagship territory alongside phones such as the iPhone 17 and Samsung Galaxy S26.

Google’s biggest argument isn’t raw gaming performance. It’s the combination of useful AI, a clean Android experience, good cameras, and improved efficiency.

    Looking for executive-level specs? The $1,099 Pro upgrades to Wi-Fi 7, a battery-saving 1–120Hz LTPO screen, and a 48MP 5x telephoto camera.

Can I rent the Pixel 11 with Device as a Service?

Of course you can. Talk to your account manager at Everphone or get in contact with our sales to get DaaS going for your company.

One thing privacy fans should know

There is one potential sticking point for people who like to customize their Pixel.

Memory Tagging Extension, or MTE, is a hardware-based security feature designed to make certain memory-related attacks harder.

MTE hardware is present on the Pixel 11, but its implementation has raised concerns among GrapheneOS developers, particularly around performance. For most Pixel owners, this probably won’t change their decision. For people who specifically want Pixels to run GrapheneOS or other custom software, it’s worth looking into before upgrading.

    So, hit or miss?

For almost all everyday and business users, the Pixel 11 looks much more like a hit. It brings better efficiency, useful AI features, strong cameras, and battery improvements that could make it a dependable work phone for years.

Gamers may find more power elsewhere. Photography purists might prefer less processing. And GrapheneOS users have an extra question to consider. But that’s the point: there’s no perfect phone for everyone.

The Pixel 11 seems focused on making everyday work more efficient and easier. And for a work phone, that’s a pretty good place to start.
