    Resources Overview

    Unified management of end devices

Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) refers to the unified management (administration) of end devices in the corporate environment. This includes both classic desktop computers and mobile devices. Endpoint management for mobile devices is also called enterprise mobility management (EMM). UEM incorporates both EMM and the management of desktop devices.

Unified Endpoint Management facilitates actual device management (inventory, mobile device management), software management (see also mobile application management) and, in connection with this, IT security issues (closing security gaps, IT compliance). Further tasks of UEM revolve around software licenses, patches and generally deployment of software.
