A work profile under Android is used to manage company data and apps separately from the privately used area of the user. This serves to protect both the company data and the personal data of the user.
Work profiles are independent of users' private accounts, apps and data and are administered by the company's IT department.
For devices with mixed private and business use, data separation is a requirement of the EU-DSGVO.
