The jury commended our comprehensive transformation efforts and our consistent commitment to a circular economy:
“Particularly noteworthy is the approach of systematically returning used devices to a second-life use and only considering recycling at the end of the product life cycle. This helps conserve valuable resources such as rare earths and significantly reduces electronic waste.”

Our Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) model for mobile devices proves that technology and sustainability don’t have to be at odds. The goal: to integrate mobile technology into businesses in a way that is not only efficient but also responsible.
Circular economy for mobile devices
When we rent out smartphones, tablets, and laptops, we always plan ahead: we take them back, refurbish them, and reintroduce them into further life cycles—maximizing the use of resource-intensive devices.
Private use allowed: one device for everything
Another key aspect is enabling employees to use their devices for both work and personal purposes. Technically, that’s easy to do today. It means that there’s no need for an additional private device. This benefits employees—and ultimately, the environment.
