Everphone uses the funds to procure brand-new laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other workplace devices, which are issued to corporate clients' employees as part of long-term Device-as-a-Service rentals.
“Everphone demonstrates how technology, the circular economy, and a scalable business model can be combined. We are delighted to contribute with our purchasing financing to enabling Everphone to capitalize on its growth opportunities and expand its market position further. For us, this financing for growth companies with innovative business models, tailored together with KfW, is an important element of our commitment as a leading financing partner for German medium-sized enterprises.”

Early refinancing with a corporate loan
For the first time, this is not asset-based financing, but a corporate loan: Everphone is thus financing itself based on the company's creditworthiness rather than by collateralizing individual device pools.
This is based on a ten-year relationship with Commerzbank, which is also its main bank. The state promotional bank KfW is participating in financing at Everphone for the second time, following 2023/2024, through its Venture Tech Growth Financing.
“Especially during the growth phase, scale-ups need financing solutions that combine speed and predictability. This is precisely where we come in with KfW's Venture Tech Growth Financing together with Commerzbank, supporting Everphone in positioning itself as an integral tech and sustainability partner for its customers.”
Jochen Eichmann, Head of Venture Tech Growth Financing, KfW

Everphone significantly reduces refinancing costs
Since financing costs are one of the largest items in unit cost calculation for Device-as-a-Service, the new structure—with an interest margin 20 basis points lower than the previous financing—directly improves unit economics.
“Profitability in Device-as-a-Service is achieved at the unit economics level, and financing costs are one of the biggest items there. Our corporate finance team has set up several facilities in recent years, reducing the interest margin with every round. The structure with Commerzbank and KfW represents the biggest step yet for inventory.”
Veronika von Heise-Rotenburg, CFO, Everphone
At the same time, the extended terms allow for larger purchasing volumes at lower unit costs—especially for replacement devices, which Everphone provides to its customers free of charge in the event of a defect.
First positive EBT result
The lower financing costs contributed to the company reporting positive earnings before taxes (EBT) for the first time in August 2026.
