The digital transformation of public administration is not a topic of some distant future—it’s happening right now, and we at Everphone are proud to be a part of it. One current example: the DaaS (Device as a Service) project at IT.Niedersachsen. IT.Niedersachsen is the central IT service provider for the state government of Lower Saxony. Lower Saxony is one of Germany’s 16 federal states.
„Fully Managed Mobile Workplace“ for the state of Lower Saxony
In collaboration with Everphone and Deutsche Telekom, a mobile workplace was created for government authorities that meets high security standards while being easy to use.
Benjamin Vielgutz, Deputy Head of Strategic Procurement at IT.Niedersachsen, explains the project in the video.

Device orders via web portal
Work devices are ordered preconfigured through the Everphone portal, automatically set up, and replaced when necessary. Data protection, app security, and BSI-compliant data wiping are included as standard (BSI is Germany’s upper-level federal agency in charge of managing computer and communication security for the public sector).
For public sector organizations, the portal is a highly user-friendly solution: Users don’t need any IT knowledge to configure their devices and can order them via a webshop-like interface. Devices are delivered fully operational.
The result: less administrative effort, more digital sovereignty for public authorities and their employees.
