Mobile device
Handhelds are a special type of mobile device. The central feature of a handheld is that it can be held and operated in one hand.
In the narrower context of corporate use, handhelds include tablets and smartphones in particular. In common usage, even more types of devices are added, including mobile media players (e.g., iPods), e-readers (e.g., Kindle), further forms of portable computers and GPS navigation devices.
