Measures for the protection of personal data
In a company, data protection generally refers to the protection of personal data of employees, customers and service providers. The basis for this in the European Union is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The term often overlaps with data security. However, this usually refers to the protection of company data against loss or unauthorized access.
