FAQ
What is an MDM?
An MDM is a software solution for enterprise mobile device management. An MDM facilitates the setup and management of smartphones and allows the pre-configuration of company-relevant productivity apps.
In most cases, MDM solutions are integrated into an EMM solution (EMM = Enterprise Mobility Management) and therefore offer functions that go beyond the mere inventory of company cell phones. MDM are now mostly cloud-based management interfaces with encrypted connectivity that run smoothly even in large IT environments.
