Malicious software

Malware (a portmanteau of malicious + software) is software that usually executes undesired functions unnoticed by the user.

In relation to enterprise mobility, so-called mobile malware should also be mentioned here; this refers to malware on mobile end devices, especially on company cell phones. Countermeasures for information security in this context are called mobile security.
