Framework contract

Contracts for mobile communications business customers

In the mobile communications sector, master agreements are special mobile communications contracts for business customers (business rates). A framework agreement enables the sales staff of the carriers (mobile network operators) to include discounts on the monthly basic charges, for example, and thus “tailor” attractive offers to their business customers.

The three major network operators in Germany (Telekom, Vodafone, Telefonica) offer an almost unmanageable combination of rates, discounts and special conditions via framework agreements. Companies book bundles via framework agreements or get involved in techfunds. However, due to the hardware subsidy, this usually leads to a higher total cost of ownership than would be the case if the mobile device and a SIM-only mobile rate were purchased separately.
